Product Description
The Austlift 80T x 10M UHMWPE Recovery Towing Strop is a high-performance recovery solution for heavy vehicles, mining machinery and mobile plant, combining high strength, low elongation and significantly reduced weight compared with traditional recovery equipment.
The load-bearing core is manufactured from UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), an advanced synthetic fibre renowned for exceptional tensile strength. UHMWPE is approximately 15 times stronger than steel by weight, giving the strop an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and making it easier for operators to transport, position and connect during recovery operations.
A tightly braided polyester outer sheath protects the UHMWPE core from abrasion, UV exposure and environmental wear, helping safeguard the critical load-bearing fibres in demanding working conditions.
With an 80 tonne capacity and 10 metre length, this strop is well suited to recovery operations involving trucks, tractors, loaders, graders, earthmoving machinery and other heavy mobile equipment. Its low elongation characteristics provide a controlled connection for towing and recovery applications.
UHMWPE also offers very low moisture absorption together with excellent resistance to abrasion, fatigue and many chemicals, making it particularly suited to harsh mining, agricultural, civil and transport environments.
