The Austlift 200T x 15M UHMWPE Recovery Towing Strop is engineered for extreme heavy-duty recovery of mining machinery, earthmoving equipment, heavy vehicles and large mobile plant, delivering exceptional strength while remaining lightweight and manageable for its capacity.
The load-bearing core is manufactured from UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), a high-performance synthetic fibre renowned for its outstanding tensile strength and low elongation. UHMWPE is approximately 15 times stronger than steel by weight, providing an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio for high-capacity recovery operations.
A tightly braided polyester outer sheath protects the UHMWPE core against abrasion, UV exposure and environmental wear. This protective layer helps shield the critical load-bearing fibres and improve service life when operating in harsh mining, civil, agricultural and transport environments.
UHMWPE also offers very low moisture absorption and excellent resistance to abrasion, wear, fatigue and many chemicals. Combined with its flexible construction, this makes the strop considerably easier to transport, position and connect than many traditional heavy recovery systems.
With a 200 tonne capacity and 15 metre length, this strop is particularly suited to large-scale recovery operations where high strength and additional reach are required.
