The Austlift 12T x 10M UHMWPE Recovery Towing Strop is a lightweight, high-strength solution for vehicle and equipment recovery, ideal for applications where conventional recovery gear can be bulky or difficult to handle.
The load-bearing core is manufactured from UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), a high-performance synthetic fibre offering exceptional tensile strength with low elongation. UHMWPE is approximately 15 times stronger than steel by weight, providing excellent strength while keeping the strop lightweight, flexible and easy to deploy in the field.
A tightly braided polyester outer sheath protects the UHMWPE core against abrasion, UV exposure and environmental wear, helping safeguard the load-bearing fibres during demanding recovery operations.
With a 12 tonne capacity and 10 metre length, this strop is a practical choice for vehicle, 4WD, light truck, agricultural machinery and smaller mobile plant recovery applications. Its 10 metre length provides useful separation between vehicles or equipment during recovery.
UHMWPE also offers very low moisture absorption and excellent resistance to abrasion, fatigue and many chemicals, making it well suited to mining, agriculture, civil, transport and off-road environments.
